31 – Saturday, 10am & 3pm, The Garden Conservancy: Digging Deeper, The Power of Place at Manitoga, $40
Join Manitoga’s Landscape Collection and Conservation staff and James Brayton Hall, CEO and President of the Garden Conservancy for an exclusive, site-specific program.

NOVEMBER

1– Sunday, 2:30 - 4:30pm, Japanese Tea Demonstration in Mary's Meadow, $100
Join us for a special one-time only afternoon walk-through of Manitoga's House & Studio, culminating in Mary’s Meadow. Designers Yoshihiro Sergel & Diana Mangaser greet guests for an intimate experience in the landscape featuring a Japanese Tea Demonstration by EunYoung Sebazco. Bento box onigiri provided by Newburgh Japanese pop-up Hibino and seasonal tea by YSDM Studio.

7 – Saturday, 10am - 3pm, Landscape Workday
Roll up your sleeves and meet other arborists, horticulturists, garden designers and landscape enthusiasts. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcomed. To register for this event, email ephillips@visitmanitoga.org or call 845-228-8350.

7 – Saturday, 2:30-4:30pm, MANITOGA – In Focus: The Design Collection, $50
Enjoy a late afternoon tour of the House, Studio and Woodland Garden with special focus on the relationship between the Wright’s professional life-style and product designs and the architecture and landscape of their home at Manitoga. Tour includes an in-depth visit of the Russel & Mary Wright Design Gallery and an inside look at recent donations of rare early work from the collection of Gary & Laura Maurer.

8 – Sunday, 10am, Celebrate Community: Design • Art • Nature, Free to residents of designated areas
Manitoga is delighted to celebrate neighboring communities with a free tour of the Woodland Garden, House, Studio and the Russel & Mary Wright Design Gallery for residents of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster and Westchester Counties. Valid photo ID / proof of residence is required. Space is limited, advance reservations required.

14 – Saturday, 12 - 4pm, Collectors Afternoon with Ann Wright, $75
Enjoy a buffet lunch prepared by Ann Wright & Mark Rumbolo and spirited camaraderie with fellow collectors. Special presentation at 2pm, Mary Small Einstein Wright, the Genius behind the Genius, by long-time collectors Gary and Laura Maurer. The Maurers co-authored "Setting Your Table Wright," a guide to the tablecloths and textiles of Russel Wright and other mid-twentieth century modern designer. Space is limited, advance reservations required.

6 – Saturday, Last Day of Private Tours

5 – Saturday, 10am - 12:30pm, Welcome Winter! Forest Walk & Pine Tea, $75
Enjoy an extended, in-depth experience of the House, Studio, Woodland Garden and Russel Wright choreographed foot trails. Jane Dobson, Mindful Outdoor Nature Guide, will provide a Forest Bathing walk, complete with freshly foraged pine tea and light snacks.

YEAR ROUND

Self-Guided Hikes. Daily, during daylight hours. Manitoga offers two miles of trails designed by Russel Wright. His “garden of woodland paths” has links to the Appalachian Trail. Dogs are not permitted. Trail maps available at the Visitor/Guide House kiosk, 584 Route 9D public entrance. Suggested donation of $5 helps support trail maintenance.
