PLEASE NOTE - Manitoga’s Public Driveway and Parking Lot are not cleared of snow or treated for ice and should be avoided during and after inclement weather.

Manitoga Tours will resume on May 10, 2024. The Hiking Trails remain open daily from dawn to dusk year-round unless otherwise indicated. Please remain on the trails and adhere to signage.


DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Manitoga is located in the heart of New York's Hudson Highlands, 50 miles north of Manhattan in Garrison, NY.

Our public entrance is located at 584 Route 9D, 2.5 miles north of the Bear Mountain Bridge, 15.4 miles south of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, 4 miles south of Cold Spring and 2 miles south of Route 403.

Accessible from Taconic Parkway, Palisades Parkway, NY State Thruway / I-87 and I-84.  

Google Maps / Waze / Apple Maps / GPS: The destination address is Manitoga, 584 NY-9D, Garrison, NY 10524.

Please park perpendicular to the railing on the left side of the parking lot, with your vehicle as close to the railing and adjacent as possible to help us maximize use of our parking lot.

VEHICLE SIZE - Vehicles must be less than 35 feet from axle to axle in order to safely access the site, and it is illegal to disembark on Route 9D. Guests traveling in larger vehicles (i.e. - RVs, extended trucks and/or hauling trailers of any kind) must contact our Public Programs Manager (sconnors@visitmanitoga.org) in advance to ensure there is adequate space for parking.

Access to the Inner Quarry area with House and Studio is by TOUR RESERVATION ONLY. Advance ticket purchase required.

ARRIVING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

At this time, the best method of transportation to Manitoga is by car due to limited local taxi and car service. Guests are encouraged to utilize Uber’s advance scheduling feature.

Please refer to Metro North’s real-time website for the current status if you intend to travel by train.

The Cold Spring Trolley is available seasonally and only on weekends for a limited time. Guests may use the Trolley to get to Manitoga from the Cold Spring Metro-North Train Station as well as other locations along the Trolley route. Please call ahead (845-878-RIDE) to be sure it is operating and heading towards Manitoga during your planned visit and be sure to check the Metro North schedule to coordinate between the two if need be. The Trolley is provided by Putnam County, and Manitoga is available as a requested stop on the Trolley schedule. For more information, please call 845-878-RIDE.

When traveling to Manitoga by Metro North outside of the Trolley’s available hours, it’s recommended to disembark at the Peekskill station where taxis are readily available. Please be sure to arrange for pickup with the taxi driver that brings you to Manitoga to ensure a return ride.
