Tour Dragon Rock, Wright’s experimental home which he built onto the rock ledge of an abandoned quarry while masterfully orchestrating the surrounding landscape into a series of outdoor rooms of varying character and delight.

We shared our progress and ideas with Manitoga staff in the fall of 2025 (near the end of last season), and one of them recorded it for us to learn from. We like how this text works here, and we do not anticipate changing it much. Connie pulled the text together from an interview with Ann Wright for an interior design magazine in 2007 and the forward from Russel Wright’s Cookbook published in 2003, shaped by insights gained from a recent conversation she had with Ann.
