Rodger Stevens
Rodger Stevens
biography
Born in Brooklyn, New York, sculptor Rodger Stevens studied at the Parsons School of Design (NYC), the School of Visual Arts (NYC), and Pace University (NYC). He is now an internationally exhibited artist with works in numerous private and institutional collections.
Each of his pieces is designed and created entirely by hand, by the artist. Each is unique, an edition of one. The material, hand-formed, hammered, and riveted, is solid, polished brass.
Rodger Stevens at Dragon Rock
Rodger Stevens collaborated with Kieran Kinsella to exhibit a serise of sculptures in Manitoga’s 2024 Art + Design Residency program, The Source of Everything. Their elegant sculptural works combined Stevens’ wrought metal with hardwood carved by Kinsella’s hand and harmonized with the modernist simplicity of Dragon Rock’s studio interiors.
